Welcome to my desk! Let's start with a little bit about me and my curiosities.

​In 2024, I retreated from my decades-long career in marketing and brand development and simultaneously concluded our family's homeschooling journey of 25 years with the graduation of our youngest from high school. The past year has allowed my head to clear and welcome the generosity of unstructured time into daily life. No client calls to take, meetings to attend, looming deadlines, homework to grade or cum files to keep. Sounds heavenly, right? Almost, but not quite. It has taken me the past twelve months to learn that it is okay to not have a full calendar, that even working relationships have a break-up period, and know that I will never have to help solve another algebraic equation...unless for some unfathomable reason I choose to.

​​​​​I like knowing the beach is close by, am always striving to be a better cook and baker, love the color leopard, casual living, family time, and standard poodles and horses (we have two of each). I read anything and everything but still prefer to have a hard copy in my hands of whatever that is. I am a faith seeker, eternal optimist, storyteller, creative, avid listener, declutterer, novice gardener, ice cream loving night owl, and remain in continual pursuit of a virtuous life.

All this and yet I find myself here – a platform to express my perspectives on life, logic, and laughter. This is my plan, and I think it is a good one. Ultimately, I am a creative thinker and writer who is ready to build something new – someplace where all the thoughts and ideas in my head can be explored and shared.

It's been said that joy is in the journey. I happen to agree. I am glad you are here with me to enjoy the exploration of my curiosities.
